I feel like I am becoming a mountaineer now when i made it to my third mountain-Lang Biang, Da Lat – 2167m.
This is the tough time I have been through both physically and mentally. I know something must be coming soon. Or late. So I tried to plan this Christmas-weekend away although it was quite rush, we booked ticket, looked for a place to stay and found one more travel mate only 2 days before departure. And I must say thank us all for making this happen. Surprise favors wanderlust soul.
We start our climbing on Christmas day, and I had a cold that day also. But I believed that I would be much better out there breathing the fresh mountainous atmosphere than curling up in bed in cold and with a cold.
It was tough way to top, and it reminded me alot about Fansipang. Of course Fansipang was the toughest one so far. Lang Biang took us about 2,5h to get to top. The main part and best part was waiting for sunset. And this was the best sunset i have ever had. The beauty of it kept us stay on the top till 5. And that led to quite some thing that we needed to face later on.
We got back late, that was why we got stuck in the jungle until dark. We didnt prepare for that, but we still had our iphone backlit. And thank god that we all still had enough battery for the whole way down. After got out of the jungle, we had to walk for 5km in empty dark jeep road.
The best thing after all was we had both the Sunset and the full Moon on this Christmas day. Experiencing the walking, talking, taking photos, singing, laughing together under the sunset yellow spreading and the light of full moon through the silhouette of pine trees were moments of now. Maybe I never have it again.
