I want to first start my photo journal with the very old school hobby of taking film photos. This just happenned very randomly. I know that film photography is amazing and quite interesting not only because the tone of color but also the process you need to go through in order to see your photo literally. It will take a big amount of your effort to chase this hobby, but I think this is also the main reason why i enjoy this kind of photography so much. In the world of digital, you can have everything in just a blink of an eye. But to take a step back and see what is actually the start of everything happening now give me so much excitement.

Tien Giang, Tet 2015 – Konica C35

Northwest Vietnam – Dong Van Sunday market and Chay River, Lao Cai – Konica C35
I first had my Konica C35 from a friend in France. I saw it on his Facebook, decided to buy it although I needed to wait for couples weeks for it to delivered. It is a cute little rangefinder film camera, but actually, it is 95% automatically operating. All I need to do is to look at the light meter to see if it’s in the right aperture and speed, and then find the right focus and SHOOT.
After Konica C35, I owned my next Olympus OM10, which soon died 3 months later. I’m using a Nikon FE which I borrowed from a colleague for a couple weeks.
Film photography is actually the best time i have ever had. That the time I took photography more seriously than ever before. I think carefully before I press the button. I care about every single shot because I know I only have 36 shots or 24 for some kind of films, and each of them is worth caring for. Each of them is amazing moment which is well cared and taken.
