Although it’s nearly End of April, but I think it’s never too late to start a new project.
Yesterday, I read about The One Side Project Challenge. It’s very interesting. At first, I thought, whattttt, a year with just one project. What’s a waste? Then I realise myself with a long list of ideas and projects which I always want to start. And the list goes on and on. Whenever I go through that long list, I never know where to start and which project I should focus on. This is a nice method to get rid of this kind of thinking and to get your ass moving.
So I thought to myself, OK, why not, let’s try and focus on just one project and make it happen.
Today I start my first project in Photography called The Shades of Life. I still not sure about the project’s name. So, first of all, I just go with it. Maybe I will have a better name for it later. In this project, I want to tell the stories of people’s life through their shadow’s portraits. I’m myself interested in the contrast between the brightness and the darkness of sunlight and what come along with it, which is the shadow. You can find my old entry about this here: The faceless self-portraits.
You cannot see your shadow unless you expose yourself to the Sun. And the other way around. To me, the shadow portrait of a person is the one thing that comes along with that person and silently stay and work its best to create an all round personality. It’s is a kind of signature, and people cannot just deny and run away from it. All you need to do is to come out there in the Sun, and see yourself.
I will update my photos in this project on blog every week/month to keep track of myself and get used to this kind of wonderful habit.
Stay tuned! Feel free to let me know your thoughts.
