Back to [One Side Project Challenge] this week. I haven’t got much time for the project last 2 weeks, but still, I managed to update some new works and also some lessons I learnt from shooting Shadows.
1 You must be very patient. Because if you’re not, you cannot do it. Very simple
2. You must be quick. This is what I found a bit difficult since I shoot with a film lens, which are really good Olympus Zuiko 50 f1.8 and 24 f2.8. Yet, It’s manual focused. So It means I cannot really do moment capture. Many times I see myself regretfully watched a moment passed by while trying to get the focus right.
3. Capture your own shadows is the easiest.
4. Shadows at around 4 pm, is very nice if it drops on the 90-degree background. Which means the perfect shadows of this time is on the street wall, not the ground
5. Because these days are very hot, and even though it isn’t hot, people still love staying in the shade. And my trouble begins
I find out that many things will evolve when you start working on a project. And that’s the reason make photography project really interesting.
Today I only shot some shadows but it’s still a good update on these lessons learnt.
